Not sure if true and I don't know about that particular FDA recommendation, but this is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard/read in a while. Yeah, I don't believe everything I read on the internet. The flushing thing just didn't ring true, but I was too tired to look it up. However, this isn't the first time that I've read an article about the possibility of pharms in drinking water. Just depends on where you live and the tech used to filter drinking water.
