Had a customer back in the day from Kentucky who I recall telling me that the Harry Potter books are pretty much forbidden in the bible belt areas because anything sorcery is considered to be evil.
your customer is a liar
Liar is a bit extreme.

Maybe forbidden was not very accurate.
Let me put it this way - she didn't want to purchase any of the Harry Potter fudge I was trying to sell her because she said in her neck of the woods in the Kentucky bible belt it is very religious and Harry Potter items will not be purchased from her stores because they are looked upon as being evil because of all the magic and scorcery.

Better?

I lived in KY for over half of my life and there was Harry Potter merch at most every retailer ( WalMart, Target , Kmart etc) Your customer was lying.

Most intimate moments don't need a camera. Nice moment, but why exploit it.
How is sharing a beautiful, potentially life-saving moment with the world exploiting it?
Most parents wouldn't think to whip out a camera when dealing with moments like this. Dad seems more keen to get cute reactions and answers on camera for his viral video than just sharing the precious moment with his son.

I am absolutely loving Austin so far and it's only been a bit over 24 hours being here. That being said, why the drymount do so many places not open until 5pm?! I need to find good quick lunch around the convention center. Also, there seems to be a very large homeless population here. For some reason that took me by surprise.

Some of you come off as extremely bitter and cranky.

Random thought:

I refuse to ever type 'lol' because it's 'stupid kiddie internet speak' but over time I've embraced 'haha' as an alternative (with the length of the hahahaha denoting how funny). It's essentially the same thing as 'lol' but is longer and for some reason I don't associate it the same way. I realize the absurdity of this but still refuse to use 'lol'. (hahaha)

Also, I prefer Barry's Pizza in Houston over Via. Via can be amazing but it can also be hit or miss and Barry's is more consistent. Barry's uses semolina and it's less greasy than Via. Plus it has a more cozy, less modern-hipster envirionment (all those places look the same). I'd be so sad if Barry's closed and a Via opened up in its spot. Still love Via though.
