Had a customer back in the day from Kentucky who I recall telling me that the Harry Potter books are pretty much forbidden in the bible belt areas because anything sorcery is considered to be evil.

Didn't even know what to say.

Moving on...

Great Gork...now I'm boo-hooing like a little kid right now

Having a kid has destroyed me for anything remotely emotional involving kids

A girl had to leave my class in the 5th grade when we were watching Elf because it was against her religion. Will Ferrell Elf.

Most intimate moments don't need a camera. Nice moment, but why exploit it.

I hear Will Ferrell is banned in many non-religious families as well.

P.S. 5th grade? I am not old, yet this make feel like I am.

How is sharing a beautiful, potentially life-saving moment with the world exploiting it?

Liar is a bit extreme.

Maybe forbidden was not very accurate.
Let me put it this way - she didn't want to purchase any of the Harry Potter fudge I was trying to sell her because she said in her neck of the woods in the Kentucky bible belt it is very religious and Harry Potter items will not be purchased from her stores because they are looked upon as being evil because of all the magic and scorcery.

Better?

Most parents wouldn't think to whip out a camera when dealing with moments like this. Dad seems more keen to get cute reactions and answers on camera for his viral video than just sharing the precious moment with his son.

It's insane how much social media has skewed people's interests. Concerts for example.. despite there being professional recordings usually available, they're still more interested in snapchatting it to let people know where they are and what they're doing.. reminds me of that Black Mirror episode.

Also equated it to being as bad as same sex couples kissing on screen, I don't think he'll want to see my Gay Human/Animal hybird movie script now.
Geez these "born again christians" really give us normal Christians a bad rap. I swear most of us arent that crazy. Just the crazy ones seem to be the loudest ones
