I'm going to go with Tokyo (I think that's the Tokyo tower in the distance) and Mt. Fuji. It's my favorite city in the world, so I hope I recognize it! ;)

Edit: a coworker said I'm out of my mind thinking that's Tokyo - LOL! Maybe it's just wishful thinking I was going back sometime soon. :p

Thanks for the kind words. The mountain is Everest, the shot was taken from the Tibetan/Chinese side.

212, that last set is incredible. were those color-corrected at all?

heres 2 out of a bunch i tried in NYC yesterday. didnt quite come out the way i wanted it to, im going to have to try it again next week. but heres the first attempt.

I bring pics into Photoshop for a bit of color correcting. Usually just play with the contrast and try to make it as I remember it. I have a photographic memory. In order to adjust the contrast the information has to be in the pic. If something in the shot is blown-out or filled-in there's no information to adjust. If the situation is a tricky exposure it's good idea to bracket the shot. My D3 allows for an overkill (up to 9 shots) of bracketing.
