Pet Peeves- Vent Here! Let me feel your pain.
People who, when approaching a green light, begin braking 50 feet from the intersection and continue to ride the brake all the way thru. No need to brake folks. If you're that concerned, just take your foot off the gas and coast. Who knows, maybe the gods smile on you and allow you to pass.
uh oh... Republicans?mfaith wrote:I had to call them direct to ask them to stop sending me those bloody things. And after hearing a bit about the owners' political stances when visiting The Bird Machine last year, I won't buy anything from them anymore anyway. (I think i've only ever bought one huge roll of kraft paper from them in the first place, which generated the endless stream of forest graveyards in catalog form)

IHOP. I live by one that I used to frequent back in the day. Over 5 years ago they messed up my order bad enough that I've completely avoided the place ever since. Today, against my better judgment, I decided to give them another shot. (My wife had the vehicle and I was nearby and hungry.) There was only one other person in the restaurant. I placed my order: 2 over medium eggs, hashbrowns with cheddar cheese, and toast.
When they brought me the plate, the hashbrowns had more mushrooms in them than potatoes. It was bizarre, like they were drymounting with me or something. The waiter ended up leaving the eggs and taking back the hashbrowns. I usually mix the eggs and hashbrowns and I was none too pleased that the eggs were getting cold while they googled 'how to cook hashbrowns' or whatever they were doing in the back. It took a while and as the frustration boiled over I picked up my plate, walked back in the kitchen, told the chef he's gonna have to recook the eggs too and literally threw the plate of eggs into the trash. They told me to leave the kitchen and I exited complaining loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear me. I calmly ate my food and when I asked for the bill they said that the other guy in the restaurant (who had already finished and left) paid for it. WTF. Not going back...
edit- Thanks random guy (you're my anti-peeve)

Fun fact: eggs over-easy in NZ = not a thing. You fry the drymounting things on one side and that is drymounting that, which would be less weird if the place wasn't otherwise brekkie/coffee obsessed. I assume the queen has something to do with it.
just a foil for me today, thanks

Haven't seen any of the new episodes yet. Very curious why Larry's dressed like that (please don't tell).

Can't wait. I'm halfway through Season 8 on my rewatch of the entire series. So good.Codeblue wrote:Season is great so far. Yer gonna love it.
I can't stand eggs that are flipped. That can drymount right off. Cook it on one side then smash it downfredo wrote:Fun fact: eggs over-easy in NZ = not a thing.
