Another Amazon peeve. Got an email saying I was signed up for a 7 day free trial to Showtime as a Prime video member, and if I didn't cancel after the 7 days I'd be charged $8.99 a month. Starting to get sick of these fugs, and might make me reconsider my membership.

I've done way less shopping on Amazon this year than last year. Part of it is their prices just don't seem to be as ZOMG, part of it is I don't like some of the mobile app changes, and part of it is the overall shopping experience is increasingly annoying.

I don’t even use the app. I agree, prices have gone up in the past couple of years; or maybe others caught up, I don’t know. Maybe it is not even the prices but “sales” they used to have.
What definitely still plays for them is the customer service, IMO. You would call them to express your disappointment and whatnot and they give you a hefty credit on your next purchase or something similar. I am talking about “Canada, eh” amazon though.

Seen some listings after cons with poster flattened on a bed in adjacent hotel. Mad keen to get that sale up I guess...
