One of my 60's axe heroes is gone. Died unexpectedly today of complications following a routine surgical procedure, so it is said.
Of course, his signature song will always be remembered as I'm Goin' Home, but I have many, many memories of songs like One Of These Days and Love Like a Man. What a band, and what a guitarist.
It's a sad day for old farts who cut their eye teeth in the 60's on bands like Ten Years After.

Goes to show that is no such thing as "routine surgery", even in a western country with state-of-the-art medical equipment and procedures.
