Any thoughts on card grading service? Which one to use our hope much it might cost? I may pick a couple out and send them in to see how they turn out.

Someone can chime in if I'm wrong but pretty sure PSA is the standard for Pokemon
I'm not into the graded scene as much but pretty sure that you're correct about PSA.
Take a look at the labels as well, some people prefer one look over the other. You could also talk to your lgs and see if they have a relationship with a grading service, most times they get discounted rates as a company account and might be able to hook you up. Gotta trust them, obvi.

I grade everything PSA. Because I grade a bunch i do their annual membership (i think it's $100) which gives a discounted rate when submitting for bulk - but you can expect to pay ~$14 for cards which are valued below $200 and $20-$25ish for cards up to $499. More expensive cards obviously cost more, but if you're planning on selling them right away then it tends to offset those costs pretty darn quickly.
I've got two orders delivering from PSA to me today which took only 23 days from submission to return, so I've seen a huge improvement in turntime as it *was* taking 2-3+ months for stuff to get turned.

Lol I waited 8 months to get cards back from BGS in 2021. That was painful. Mostly because a lot of the hype died down and they were worth somewhat less by that time (had some flesh and blood cards graded). Still made a killing, had 5 of one particular card that I got anywhere from $4500-7k for each
Never heard of Flesh & Blood before. You did mighty well though.ygolohcysp wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 4:46 pmLol I waited 8 months to get cards back from BGS in 2021. That was painful. I had never played a TCG in my life. Once I started opening up those flesh and blood boxes I bought to flip I got interested in one particular character and then it was all over from there. That was set 3, I think we're on set 13 now? Can also play other people on my phone so that's pretty huge, I'm looking forward to playing competitively at some point if it's still happening when I can
Thanks, I was going to ask about pricing. I'm familiar with PSA and BGS from my younger days of collecting sports cards. I'm seeing a lot more names in the game now and didn't know if any of those were worth their salt.iwokeinrelief wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 1:04 pmI grade everything PSA.
