I never could get pourover to work for me. I really wanted it to, and I almost got it there, but I couldn't get past the taste of the bloody paper filter

I've used a stainless steel filter in my drip machine for so long, even doing the recommended rinsing in advance, I could still taste the paper. I tried Kalita Wave, which has a paper filter, and then this cone-shaped stainless steel pour-over maker, which didn't require a filter at all. The stainless steel cone-shaped one had promise, but the cone shape caused the grounds to get clogged, and slowed it down so much that by the time I had a cup-ful, it was lukewarm at best. Tasted nice, but cold

. So yeah, I really wanted it to work for me, but couldn't find the right mix.
May revisit it again at some point, to see if they've come out with anything that'll work for me.
@alittle: what do you recommend for espresso machine?
