traveling with the family for our first family vacation with the 20 month old. I know a lot of this board has been to SD for CC. any recommendations for restaurants and activities?

we consider ourselves amateur foodies but are not shy from dirty, hole in the wall joints with great food. lmk! we're staying just SW of Little Italy.

best beach?

I miss this place like no other, their breakfast burrito and carne asada with guac and sour cream was a go to of mine for years when i was on the point loma submarine base. They aren't really open 24 hrs regardless of the signage

You come to SD to eat its for the Socal/TJ Style Mexican food, Burritos and Tacos and Beer

Mexican Street Tacos - Tacos El G https://www.yelp.com/biz/tacos-el-g-national-city-7 or Tacos El Gordo http://tacoselgordobc.com/ - Most people like and know about Tacos El Gordo cause it's the popular one but Tacos El G i think is better.

SoCal Mexican Food, Burritos and Fries - Lolitas - http://lolitasmexicanfood.com/ or Salud https://saludsd.com/ - Good San Diego Mexican Food , on a side note you could also go into any local neighborhood taco shop that ends in 'BERTOS and enjoy, i just feel like the suggested use better quality meats.

Fish Tacos - Oscars Mexican Seafood https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=o ... diego&ns=1 - South Coast https://southbeachob.com/ - Great fish taocs, Oscars webite down

Breweries with Eats - Ballast Point https://www.ballastpoint.com/location/b ... tle-italy/ / CBC https://coronadobrewing.com/locations-n ... o-brewpub/

the list can go on and on with food and beers - Burgers Hodad's and or Rocky's - Honorable other Mentions - OB Noodle House / Basic Pizza Downtown / Urge Gastro Pub Rancho Bernardo

Tons of beaches and Parks togo with kids - best family beaches are Coronado, Del Mar and La Jolla Shores - check out the https://thinkplaycreate.org/ in downtown also head to Balboa Park museums and san diego zoo

Go to "Turf Club" . Its a awesome dive bar/restaurant. Strong drinks and you cook/bbq your food in the middle of the room. I go there everytime im in SD.
