Anyone?

I've been streaming movies, shows and sports for about the past 6 mo's via Kodi add-ons Exodus and Sports Devil.

It's like a dream catcher for the interwebz.

Started w/an amazon fire tv box and Kodi is a free add-on from there.

https://kodi.tv/

I followed this setup instruction via youtube. He also sends out follow up emails. I followed additional instruction to side load a VPN directly to fire tv (Private Internet access)

Interested to hear if anyone else has been using it and has tips, tricks to share?

I have issues with sports, but movies and shows are generally pretty good.

I use a fire stick, and I am curious if the fire TV has better performance when only looking at its Kodi functionality. I don't use the fire stick for anything EXCEPT Kodi, nor do I ever plan to.

I use the NHL add-on. I don't have a center ice account so I can't stream live games but the recaps are nice.

SALTS (stream all the sources) which can be found in the tknorris repo

Sports devil - you just have to search sometimes among the many options.

Quit using a fire stick, and stick it on your laptop then plug in via hdmi. Much faster response.

so i have a roku 3, a fire stick, an apply TV 2nd gen and a chromecast, and a few year old laptop.

Was a big XBMC user in the old days but if i am looking to go Kodi now what is the best cool and quiet option. Buy a full size fire?

Same. No need to spend extra on ebay. It's ridiculously easy as long as you can follow directions. You don't even need a laptop or anything

The Fire TV originally had a faster processor, but looks to be the same now between both. The TV costs twice as much but does support 4k and have an expandable storage port if you're going to do more than just stream w/it.

I read extensively about geo-fencing, throttling, buffering, etc. w/internet providers and streaming, but haven't experienced any of those problems after I launched VPN.

I have fire tv oppose to the stick. Not too sure if it's better then the stick itself but have had no issues.
