Stock Market Discussion

So hopefully there is enough interest to warrant this thread. I like that the forum itself is based on something different entirely but is active and everyone comes from lots of different perspectives. I've looked for good stock forums online and they all seem to be flooded with ads and questionable motives.

I finally bit the bullet and bought one share of NFLX at $612. Hard to buy at that price considering it was at $315 in December but I'm excited for their future. As mentioned in the Etsy IPO thread, I read a couple articles where various analysts had the price target at $850 - $900.

Anyone been to a Bojangles restaurant? Does that fit into the "fast casual" segment as in a little more classy and better quality then a McD's etc?

aaaaayyy it's bout time. 612 is expensive but if they can capitalize on china, you may see yourself making a few hundred bucks

The missus went to the south earlier this year and said bojangles is the tits! She said it's the best fast food chicken place there is. That could be biased based on our opinion of how shitty the chain resturants are around here though.

It's like Popeyes only 100 times better IMO. I can't lie I got a 4 pack of their Bojangles French Fry seasoning for Christmas and by my Bday last month I needed a re-up. I was putting it on everything from popcorn, cheeseburgers, tacos and everything I cooked on the grill. Also when our son was living in Honolulu and home sick we even shipped him a Bojangles 12 piece for his birthday 1 year.

That seasoning looks nice.

Apparently they're also known for their breakfast menu which they serve all day long and 38% of their revenue is made before 11:00am.

Just made my first investment with JT Marlin and put in two thousand shares on this pharaoh tech stock.
My broker Seth Davis promises a huge return on it so this can only mean more Iron Giant prints in my future. :pint:

Netflix going to spend 5 Billion on content in 2016. More than HBO, Showtime, Amazon, and Starz combined. And as mentioned above, if they get into China things might get interesting.

Question is if those billions of dollars in new content will bring New subscriber growth. Without new people subbing theyre gonna have to raise prices, cancel family sharing, or implement ads, which I doubt will go over well. Curious to see what new business models they come up with as more competition comes to market.
 Thanks for making this discussion. I just started my portfolio last year: AAPL, AET, BABA, DIS, DPS, LB. I'm currently looking for something in Foods and Energy sectors if anyone has some good sheit.
