Apple - Mac, iStuff, and Such
Apparently, this is one of the many glaring bugs of Yosemite. Good news is that it's been spreading across the web pretty fast, so people are aware. Sounds like Apple is working on a fix as fast as possible, but no ETA yet, hopefully soon. If you still use Mavericks, proceed with caution.Xander wrote:Anyone experiencing slower than usual Wi-Fi speeds when upgrading to Yosemite?

Apparently there's a new macbook air design in the works for this year. Should be interesting.
Too bad the rumors are all set on a 12" inch display and that's it. Anyone else not willing to go under 13" inches for a decent screen sized laptop?

Got an ipad Air for Christmas which allowed me to give my mini to my daughter. Now the whole family has iphones and ipads. I put my phone down when I get home and don't pick it up until I leave...love it.
But I am still really happy with how my PC works for me. I don't seeing getting a Mac anytime soon. I can't afford a learning curve with all these high-pressure poster drops coming up.

I still use an old flip phone because I'm online literally all day via tablet/pc and I'm a cheap bastard when it comes to phones. I use TING so whatever phone I pick has to be paid for up front. Now that the price has come down I'm thinking about getting an old iPhone 4 new in box from best buy for $149. Is there a reason I shouldn't? I want to get a good 2-3 years out of it. It not already obsolete is it?
you wont be able to upgrade to the latest OS and apps that are supported by it if you get a 4. you could get a new Nexus 4 unlocked at about that price and take advantage of its latest os stuff. id look into getting a lot of storage regardless of the platform
Still using the iMac I bought in 07 or 08 with no problems. Don't do anything special with it though. Also have an Apple TV just sitting in it's box. Used it at the old pad, but don't need it in the current crib. It's the og one that can be cracked. IT guy at my work says cats are always looking for that one, but I've just never got around to doing anything with it.

Good to know...that may not be a deal breaker though. Looks like Ting doesn't support NEXUS. Thanks for the advice.buckbeak wrote:you wont be able to upgrade to the latest OS and apps that are supported by it if you get a 4. you could get a new Nexus 4 unlocked at about that price and take advantage of its latest os stuff. id look into getting a lot of storage regardless of the platform
