Have never used the tape if it is for the states. I throw on the Priority sticker if it is international though.

I just ordered stickers labels from the USPS supply/store. wtf...they're free, so I guess I'll throw some on the tube in the future.

The priority international orders scare me. They throw the labels in that stupid flimsy pouch. If they loose the labels when taking them out at customs you are hosed. Hence why I will throw on the label directly on the tube with the addys on em.

I meant to say stickers, not labels.

I'm confused haha.

I'm talking about the labels that serve as stickers as well. You know, the ones you see graffiti artists tag up and stick all over the place.

Priority tape is no longer allowed to seal containers. They say it is only for identification purposes now. Guessing something happened with insurance claims and they were found responsible. Never saw an official announcement but the local PO has posted it for maybe the last 6 months.

i've used priority tape to seal the ends of tubes for 2+ years now. the lady at the counter (smaller office) doesn't care and hands them to me 2/3 rolls at a time. we use it for tubes, boxes, anything going priority.

never had any issues and it's free tape. thumbs up in my book.

That tape is pretty wimpy. I just use the clear packing tape.

let me rephrase that, typically I use clear to seal the end and go OVER it with the Priority Tape. realize that came across wrong. but don't get me wrong - it's got some great adhesive, much more so than some clear/packing tape I've used in the past.

I've had post office clerks (not at my normal small-town shop) give me fudge about it. "Where did you get this tape?" "This is misuse of government property" etc etc. But I've got 5 rolls sitting in my drawer that I'll be using for the next 6 months or so and I'm a happy camper. :D

8) Tube delivered today. Quick response since I just called USPS, yesterday, to report that it was missing. In my experience, submitting a 'Missing Mail Request' online is a waste of time. At the postal station, I was given a phone number to call their Consumer Affairs department - in my case the Phoenix office.

They always give them to me for free, too. I use them to seal up all my tubes and boxes. Never had an issue with the PO.

I would have to say its better than the tape I pick up at the dollar store.

package marked delivered in/at mailbox. problem is, package too large for mailbox.

not on doorstep.
not under doormat.
not in garage.
not against garage door.
not on front porch.
not on back porch.
not on truck tailgate.
not inside truck.
not on lawnmower.
not in shed.
not in bucket by garage door.

these are all places our mail carrier has left my packages before and according to the postmaster, is unacceptable and the deliverer will be talked to.

waiting for GPS coordinates of the package delivery...
