USPS woes :(

Fellow EB-er sent me a Stout Kill Bill variant just over a week ago from the UK (First Class to Los Angeles). The label number indicates that it was "delivered" on Nov 25 around noon. However, the mailman ALWAYS leaves tubes outside my door and knocks. I work from home 90% of the time (and was home that day), so I know I would have heard it. Delivering a package around noon just seems very out of the ordinary for our location, as our postmen always deliver late in the afternoon or in the evening.
Just hoping that it was scanned as "delivered" in error during the holiday chaos and that it will find its way to me soon. However, it's been a couple of days now since the "delivery date," and I am getting anxious. Went over to the post office today and they didn't have it. I've opened a case with USPS now, so let's see what happens.
Not sure if the item was insured or not (I doubt it, as it was sent First Class) - just contacted the sender and am waiting to hear back.
Wondering if this has happened to anyone else recently (i.e. tracking says "delivered" but the item has not been received)? What a shitty start to the long weekend.

does the tracking say it was delivered to your address/city?
there was a guy in the UK selling prints recently and sending bogus tracking #'s. My tracking showed delivery to Maryland though I'm in Texas. I had to call the post office and have them research it to get the info on where it was delivered.
Hope it works out

First class is a bitch,
At least leaving the US for far away lands.

I recently had a print that tracking said was delivered. Sender actually received the print back after about 12 days because they mis-addressed the package. They resent it with the correct address and it arrived in couple days.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. Yes, the item was apparently delivered to my Zip Code. Will give it a week or so and see what happens. The long weekend doesn't help - I'm sure USPS has enough packages to deal with this time of year.
Also, Blue, this Pho place is pretty good.

Happened to me with my Stout stickers. I'm in an apt though. Substitute mailman put them in the wrong box.
