USPS woes :(
The USPS should immediately change their formal statements and documentation on domestic Priority Mail delivery timeframes.
They currently say 1-3 business days.
This is obviously not accurate, and any Postal employee would unofficially agree.
They should change it to say 1-20 business days.
The change would be accurate 90% of the time

I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.
Oh... and my personal observation is that, for shipments to metro Atlanta since mid-November of last year...
Percentage of shipments damaged in transit has easily quadrupled, and
Delivery days to get to destination has easily tripled

USPS apparently has lost my front door key. The business downstairs found it. Things should be getting here tomorrow.
But thats hoping.

Set redelivery for yesterday. No update on tracking. Went there today. Packages were there. I conversed with the guy who was in charge of redelivery and hopefully it will improve. He was as frustrated as I was. And of course, seams on the package were cut open. But it came in undamaged. Thankfully.

These drymounting people...
I printed priority postage for a package I was shipping. I printed it Thursday but didn't make it to the PO and then forgot about it yesterday. I take it in this morning and the lady looks at it and says, "well, you've got the wrong date on here. You're supposed to ship it on the day you buy the postage. We sometimes accept it the next day but after that we don't have to accept it. Yours was 2 days ago so I don't have to take it but I will this time."
Hey, how about, drymount you?
When I asked she couldn't give me a good reason why it really matters. Postage is postage, if I buy it it should be good until rates change. They really go out of their way to encourage people to use alternate services.
