If Coinbase had no responsibility why would they summoned for data on U.S. taxpayers. Coinbase had to disclose information on more than 14,000 users in 2016. That takes time, resources and could impact customers deciding to stay or go. Then there are continued regulations being implemented which will have impact.... I get it you love your crypto..... but don't act as if all the tax and regulations changes are not going to have an effect on the coins, exchanges etc....TKuczynski wrote:I mean, you should pay your taxes.
The nubs aren't whining over crypto being taxed, it's that crypto-to-crypto trades can't be deemed like-kind transactions. That special treatment is now reserved solely for real estate. How 'bout that.
And what exactly is "sticking" to Coinbase? In what world does Coinbase have some responsibility to ensure individuals pay their taxes? What? If I have a Chase checking account, is Chase somehow liable if I commit tax fraud?

I jumped in heavy at the last big dip. Missed that spike this morning but still in the black now. I'd be happy if everything chills for a few months, make some shorts happen and cash out on another big pump like we saw in December. Then look into real estate on Mars as the next big play.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately...

Not at all if u buy into predictions that 2017-2019 will be the best years to be involved with investing in crypto. You're right in the middle of it all and the market is in it's typical January/February dip. IMO, great time to get in! Just dive deep into doing your own research before throwing your money at something.timmy12 wrote:Does it already late to invest in cryptos? When will the bleeding end? So much FUD everyday sucks...the ban ln China happened months ago yet they keep bringing it up every week. I have two conspiracies.... It's like govts and banks are like oh fudge we missed the boat need to crash the market to get better prices so we can get in low.... Or The last big spike was done by a group of like 40 whales with like $ 50-100 million each. Cause it's crazy to think 400 billion dollars is Jus out of the market.
