Damn that sucks. Now I know why, or guessing that’s also why the Binance exchange froze trading of iota.

It definitely hurts to hear you lost coin. :(

This is exactly why I only mess with coins that can be put on an official hardware wallet like ledger wallet. Github can be forked by anyone with access.

418.29...... you can click on the link I attached to see it sitting in the hackers account.

I had about $400 into it and right now that amount is worth about $1,850. Kick in the dick.

63schoeffling wrote:Well guys, I hate to have to be the one to write this.... but I don't want anyone else being a victim here. I just got through DM'ing with one of the mods in the IOTA slack looking into what was going on with my desktop wallet and apparently there was a hacker who got into the actual GitHub site and redirected the recommended seed generator to get all of the seeds. I noticed all of my IOTA was sent to an address that was not generated by my wallet..... this is the address it was sent to: https://iotasear.ch/address/YTNJSWMXAWL ... FNQJWYGOBW

The Slack Mod confirmed it was taken by the hacker. Apparently, no online seed gens are safe at least at this point. DO NOT USE ANY ONLINE SEED GENS, even if they are from the official guidelines on setting up a wallet. The mod said what he does is make a 6X6 grid, fill in 27 spaces with A-Z and 9. The other spaces will be re-rolls. Then, get to rolling... can’t be replicated.

That had all my IOTA in it..... I feel like garbage right now since I will have to spend a lot of money and probably never accumulate that amount again (short of you guys buying some of my zomg Stout's off me) but I had to come and at least post in here before i did anything else.

Stay safe out there, y'all. Sucks.
So sad to read this dude.
When you get a new IOTA wallet going PM me, I'll send you a couple, your tip made me buy a few in the first place so I'd like to help you out.

Are Simoleon tokens a thing?
For some reason there are some in one of my eth wallets, I have no idea why they are there

moved almost all my trading volume from bittrex to binance over the last month or so.
if you hold the BNB coin (their coin), you can use it as your fees and get 50% off the fees. saves a lot.
they finally added stop losses.

Signed up with Binance as well, for IOTA and BNB to see how it goes, still buying through Coinbase then moving overt ETH though. Do you also have a freeze on IOTA?

By the way 63schoeffling I second PaulSeal, I'll hook up some IOTA if you get shafted and are not able to recover yours. Yall have made me a fe Gs by getting me off the fence. Still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on one BTC at $3500 when I jumped in. But ETH, LTC have hooked me up now waiting to see how IOTA & BNB do.
