I just read an article on the guardian about zika in brazil. Sad stuff in regards to pregnancies, increased cases of microcephaly. Sad stuff.

Was watching a documentary about pulsars - some mind boggling information - they are so dense that a lump of pulsar the size of a sugar cube has the same mass as Mount Everest - and the gravity is so strong that if you were to be teleported to its surface you would be instantly flattened to a paste a few atoms wide.

I guess? It's a neat discovery however the long term effects will not be seen in my lifetime. In fact, most space discoveries, while very cool, will lead to much cooler things that I won't ever get a chance to witness or experience, so it's a bit deflating.
