I loved the Stagg Jr we had. I would say to me it was a Bookers with a lesser pronounced profile. Bookers was better too me personally.

Every batch is different in taste and proof though. And I generally like the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof releases more. But again, it depends on which batch (and what proof).

Way too pricey. Also, the Michters Barrel Strength Rye is overpriced, too. Dang.

And the website is so awful to navigate.

Eh, maybe... I always thought it was around $50 or so. I didn't check but I could be off. The EC18 is definitely overpriced, though. I can get that on the secondary market for $175 or so all in.

I think that's the MSRP. Pa. has only recently started charging more for the highly sought-after stuff.

the 2015 BTAC sold here for $60 a bottle...

As much good as I have heard about the EC18 I would definitely pass if that is what they are charging. Picking up a new TPS private barrel of 4R OESV this evening.

Michter barrel proof $80 here in OR too. Listed as "limited release", I think it's very tasty (114 proof) and on par w/E.H. Taylor rye. The regular "straight rye" is $46, like all the others.

EC 18 was $130 here and is really good!
The 23 yr was $200. Haven't opened it yet.

Hope the pricing is just an oversight in PA and that they get it right. No way I'd pay $200 for the 18 yr either.

Cracked into a St George single malt last night and found it to be light (96 proof) and thoroughly enjoyable w/a giant left handed cigarette I spun up.

nope - I guess if it sits around long enough at $200, they'll put it "on sale" for 190 or 180.

plenty of places have it listed for more
maybe the higher prices will drive away flippers here

Edit - $150?! Damn... is it worth it or are they jacking this up, too?
