Read that this am as well.

Unfortunately state laws here normally mean separate liquor stores for the harder stuff, so I don't think Aldi US sells whiskey. I would have nabbed a few as a curio.

Online has only beer and wine as products and a disclaimer has some stores carrying neither...

Q. You say you have beer and wine, but I can’t find it in my store. Why not?
A. We have to obtain special licenses to sell beer and wine on a store-by-store basis. The process takes longer in some municipalities than others. Rest assured that it’s our desire to provide each ALDI store with our complete product line and we will continue working to achieve this. Check our store locator to see if your store, or a store near you, carries wine and beer.

This is not sold in the US yet it appears. Seems to be trending as a few articles out on it now and says not sold in US. Wonder if it will become a Pappy type white whale if difficult to get and the first run goes dry.

Given a choice to purchase any of these, in which order would you go? Excluding flippability.

PappyVWinkle 20 yr
VWinkle 12 yr
Old RipVan 10 yr
Wm Larue Weller
just a foil for me today, thanks

If anyone has any hammer bottles of good juice, I am looking to acquire.... would be willing to let go of some of the big guys in my collection as well. Just in case I figured I’d throw it out here.

Also.... I prefer the Pappy 15 from what I remember.

PappyVWinkle 20 yr
VWinkle 12 yr
Old RipVan 10 yr
Wm Larue Weller
(Edit: I've had all of these)
Excluding flippability and hype (and "prestige" of owning a bottle) and the fact that each of these differs depending on the year:

William Larue Weller
Pappy 20
Lot B (assume that's what you meant by the VWinkle 12)
Old Rip Van Winkle 10

(If you had included Pappy 15, it would be maybe a tie in first slot with the WLW)

Crazy, last one was on the shelf for a good while, everyone must have enjoyed it as much as me.

The EC BP is batch A118. Psyched to finally get one.

Congrats. Of course, the sign on that bottle is misleading since it was B517 that won the award. Each batch is different proof and different taste but all usually very good.

That's really odd. The bottle I bought with that sign on it was the B517 batch.

And of that list above, I've never had the PVW 20, so I'll leave that one out

Gracias people.
I've had the 20 and the Lot B 12 yr. The 12 is my fave 'easy' tasting bourbon I've tried to date. Not holding out much hope for getting any of em, but will post drunk pics if the good lord makes it work out.

William Heaven Hill 14 Year Single Barrel Bourbon 750ml, $209.98

Weller 12 Year 1.75L ,$49.98

Elijah Craig Barrel Select 200ml, $20.98

Old Fitzgerald BIB 11 Year 750ml, $109.98

Rhetoric 24 Year Bourbon 750ml $149.98

Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye 750ml, $69.98

Weller 12 Year 750ml, $27.98

This months raffle at a local, going for the EC Select seeing as how I didn't get a single drop of the ECBP I had won. Not a single drop! I had put it on a different shelf kind of holding it for a special occasion or visitors, well she drank the whole damn thing. We had a really good conversation over that believe me.

Anyone tried it yet? Has me very interested. Breaking Bourbon gave it a solid review and claims its an excellent introduction into malt whiskey. Also noted the 1st batch is actually all Pot Still whiskey from the Woodford Plant, no column still from Lville. Recommends getting 1st batch before that changes. May run to KY later. $36 at the local there.
