Saw that... the 23 is already kind of over-aged so my interest in trying this falls between "not at all" and "if it's at a whiskey fest".

Tempted to try that Saz. I am so loaded up with bourbon though, I need to hold off. The Michter's 10 is going down nicely.padelimike wrote:Pa. People - Sazerac 6 Year Rye in the online store for $27.99

Thanks for posting these updates when you do. Even if I don't get anything (like this time) I appreciate you taking the time to give us a heads up.

That Sazerac 6YO did sell out yesterday (around 150 bottles) but this morning another 32 bottles popped up. 31 now.praxitas wrote:updates
Also added today: High West Campfire for $64.99, which is pretty standard pricing apparently.
The $122 for 10YO Michters seems to be pretty good though.
update 1: 10:30 AM Saz is again sold out. Perhaps some will show up in stores soon.
update 2: Thursday Evening there are only 8 bottles of that Michter's 10 Year Old Bourbon, if anyone is on the fence about it...

Abraham Bowman Wheat Bourbon is live in Pa.
Also the four next lottery products have been revealed.
edit:
update - the Bowman has sold out. Took about 20 minutes without an email announcement. It was only 36 bottles I think.

after months of keeping an eye out for this stuff I finally stumbled upon a bottle of Rebel Yell Single Barrel 10 year couple nights ago. At first sip I was surprised at the amount of char it had flavor wise. There is a lot of complexity underneath it, but it was liquid campfire overall. I say that in a good way. It's totally different than most everything else I have on the shelf with the closest comparison being Woodford Double Oaked SB. It finishes strong, smooth and a bit spicy. I gave it a second pour last night and the campfire was much more muted and the real body of the liquor proved just as complex as it did through the smoke the previous night. Great bottle right off the bat that didn't need that week or two (or more) to open up that most other SBs benefit from. it's a definite buy at ~$50.

There are about 175 bottles in Pa, if you pass this way...electrachrome wrote:Rebel Yell Single Barrel 10 year ... It finishes strong, smooth and a bit spicy. ...it's a definite buy at ~$50.
If you can find any David Nicholson, you may be pleased with that as well. And "only" $35.
I assume you've tried Henry McKenna, also $35.

only 12,000 bottles of the RY SB 10yr, so it's kinda rare when you come across one. I've had the McKenna. very good for the price, maybe a little raw on the finish (more burn than spice), IMO.padelimike wrote: There are about 175 bottles in Pa, if you pass this way...

I was revisiting my Elijah Craig small batch last night. I'm all about the high proof bourbons, but I just can't pallet this one. I've let it sit for 6 months and it's still overly potent. Noticed the new bottles have returned the 12 year age statement to the label (on the side this time).

Was about to ask the same question. I'd be happily surprised if the standard EC brought back the age statement.padelimike wrote:That's only on the Barrel Proof, right?electrachrome wrote: Noticed the new bottles have returned the 12 year age statement to the label (on the side this time).
