Having your power go out, when it's 25 degrees outside and you've just started a pot of coffee before breakfast. :hanging:

Make some cold brew. I haven't looked back.

Used a percolator on the stove top in the ice house a couple weeks ago. Worked decent. Was no Ninja coffee bar though

Yours brews that quick? The pitcher someone got me says to let it brew for like half a day or longer. Also, who the fug wants cold coffee when it's cold as fug out.

P.S. Why the fug is it so cold in Austin? Isn't that pretty rare?

Blech. Cold coffee. Not a fan.

Last time my cheap drip coffee maker took a crap, I decided that I didn't want a plastic maker to replace it. Looked around and bought a stainless electric percolator. Love it...makes much better coffee than the single drip makers. I'll never go back to a single cycle drip maker.

Best brew is 24 hours. Removes all of the acidic taste and really makes the flavors full.

Easy ratio is 1 part coffee and 3 parts water.

Stir. Brew 24 Hours. Strain. Enjoy!

Sorry. Coffee nerd.

Yeah, I don't think I could get into that. I need my coffee hot. Plus, yesterday specifically, I needed something to warm me up. lol

Yeah, it's some freakish "arctic front" that rolled in Monday night. It was like mid 60s on Monday afternoon, and then by Tuesday at 1am or something it had dropped to the upper 20s, then 25ish by 7am. Today it's supposed to be like 15 at some point. Tomorrow and Friday, though, it's projected to rise steadily back up to a comfortable upper 60s by Saturday.
So it goes...

Fuuuck yes. Since they installed a Starbucks in the lobby of my hospital I've been going there way too much - the vanilla sweet cream cold brew is delicious, however I should probably start bringing my own. Anyone have a good recommendation for a cold brew kit?

It takes a minimum of 12 hours, I do 24. And once you have the concentrate you can mix it with hot water and still have hot coffee.
