I've always had trouble pronouncing exotic names like Tyler Stout and Jay Shaw :oops:

Various baby name sites claim it's a Hebrew name and is pronounced "eh mehk"

Yep, it's a Hebrew/Israeli name, and it's pronounced phonetically (ie both the Es are pronounced like the E in Egg)
