Bottom line is that a lot of phans from back in the day have some pretty deep pockets and don't mind supporting a good cause like Waterwheel. That guy looks like Christmas morning so good on him :D

not sure it was available at the waterwheel table. there are only 10 of these. 1 was auctioned off and sold for 2700 at the waterwheel preshow event at a live auction (8/18 at around 530-540 PST) before they let us go to our seats before the general public. i was guessing 1500 before it began, and was a bit surprised at what it sold for, but then again it was for a non-profit organization, and Phish fans have deep pockets.

Before starting the bidding the auctioneer stated, "There are only ten of these in existence, and this is the only one that will ever be sold."

I spoke with the WW guy (I wish I could remember his name) at the gate at Starlight and asked him about this. He said that 10 was ALL THAT WATERWHEEL WAS GIVEN. He feels confident that more will surface. His 2 cents, I guess...

Could not believe price got to $2500. Thought it would go for $750 tops.
It's a tax write off. Soon matter what the person got it for free. And it's on eBay right now!!

I have an actual baseball card that is autographed by both Mickey Mantle and Ken Griffey, Jr. that is not worth $2500.
