No warping here. I put a couple coats of polyurethane on the back before it went up on the wall. Not sure it was necessary but made me feel better.

I'm sure in framing the peieces they can be secured in a way to hold them straight. and secured straight long enough in a rigid frame will help the piece to straighten back out over time as the interal stress and tensions withing the wood ease with age.

I imagine a lot of the warping that occurs in finished wood artwork has to do with the difference in enviormental temperature and humidity from where the wood originated and where it ended up. not to mention that artists are using low grade plywood, doesn't help either that its typically around 3/8"

agreed. thanks. would applying moisture to the back side and weighing it down with heavy objects help at all in terms of easing/unstressing the wood?

You might want to search through the Horkey True Grit wood thread. I think some of those owners had some problems with their wood pieces warping.

There might be some ideas in that thread, that could help you get this flat.

A framed Jane Doe Proct hits ebay. $2320.

eBay 261425763799

Anyone looking might want to make an offer.

Or the seller might be on here, so ask around.
