"Inspired by "The Calling of Saint Matthew" by Caravaggio & based on a true story of Jerry Garcia in a New York hotel room in the late 70's."

Looks like it was inspired by Crumb. Nice work David! And I, for one, am glad Jerry made it out back in '78.

So, the government killed Jimi and then Jimi killed Jerry. Interesting. I don't think the movie will stand up to the book.

I don't know about any of that but it's common knowledge that Neil Bush killed Bob Marley.

Well, FWIdrymountingW, I heard that Jimi, Janis and Jim conspired to kill Duane who killed Berry who killed Keith who killed SRV who couldn't stand grunge and offed Kurt who was pissed that he wasn't in a jam band and took it out on poor Jerry when he was in rehab. Don't know if all of that is true but that's the tale that was told to me.

From ITRP: "The story goes Jerry Garcia was partying in a midtown hotel with a stripper, a pro wrestler and a Vegas card shark & playing a borrowed cello when a couple evangelists burst into the room and tell him he must repent and follow Christ."
