Two years in a row, my wife and drove from Hollywood, CA to Toronto, Canada to visit her family for Christmas... we'd stop and take pictures of anything cool. We went different ways each time, I just cataloged the pictures of cool stuff in my giant "REF" folder.
Pro tip, if you do a road trip across the USA during winter time, stick to the southern region... especially if your car is a Honda Fit. Also, New Orleans is pretty bitchin'
