says 12
I can't believe I didn't comment on this before, cb where are you when I need you. I received my copy way back when from the Dallas gallery in a 2.5" ultra thin tube & barely long as the print is wide. Yes, it was wrapped in kraft paper. There The bottom/start of the roll is gorilla'd. This should never happen. Shepard Fairey, your art has been destroyed by these folks. I'm not the only one. I heard it from others.
Why today? My son shows & handed me his prints to store. He also bought this out on the sidewalk in front of G88 that day back in Feb '12. It has the same effed up damage.
I've said it once. I'll say it again. The artists must be responsible, take an aggressive stance toward quality control, when you hand your art to a gallery/distributor to ship. It takes 5 minutes to explain the importance of & the proper techniques to packaging/shipping/delivering mint collectible art. Is the art not of high quality? Is the control of the art ever surrendered by the artist? Then why does quality control stop @ the signing of a distribution deal & the handing over of the printed page? It's shameful how often it happens because in my opinion once is too often.
I'm not alone when I say I have a stack of posters that were touched by folks that should never have come anywhere near the art, much less in the same room for fear they'll put down their sweating Big Gulp on the closest flat surface
