Brett doesn't really kick it on the internet a lot, but you guys might dig that he took notice of the love, and he appreciates it:
Not really. Francis spent so many years with pop culture -- Paris Hilton, Japanese porn stars, freakin' Pikachu, etc -- and his newer work is more surreal, with some pronounced geometry, so I wouldn't really compare the two. I think all they really share is an ethereal quality, and that's not really going to link them up forever. Brett is more like a younger, grittier, and more "street" Kim Cogan or, depending on which art critic is talking, "this generation's Edward Hopper."tranito wrote:I'll try to offend some of you and basically quote thebends in my attempt.
Poor Man's Ian Francis.
Take this man at his word:electrachrome, mostly kidding wrote:mr smith, EB's poet laureate.

78 reminds me of grubbin' on Herring or Frites back in Amsterdam. Really like it and hope it's still around after the NY. Nice pick-ups, BTWjettad wrote:My print also arrived today and was so impressed with it I went and bought Waiting #66, 71, 78 and 92.
