This is one of the VERY few cool Metallica gigposters. And it's an old TAZ poster so it's not easy to find.... Anyone got one?.... Anybody?...

True dat. I was supposed to see AIC open for Metallica but Sean Kinney left AIC a few days before the start of the tour and effectively AIC's career. Candlebox took their place and I was shocked they got out of there alive.

The bill was Suicidal Tendencies, Alice in Chains and Metallica. If AIC would have played the day might not have been a total loss.

Hard to find? Recently maybe, but it was getting nothing for years, even less as metallica's fortunes faded, seen more than a few auctions going with no bids at $20-50. I was gifted a copy of this when I bought a bunch of other taz stuff as a throwaway, I think I gave it away as well.

Then bang--all of a sudden it's a 250 dollar poster. huh. :o

I think that 94 tour was aborted when Cantrell and Kinney both quit after growing weary of Staley's widely reported drug problems. Seems to me that Jerry and Sean didn't reconcile with Layne till the summer of 95. In between that time, I think Staley grabbed some guys from a couple other bands and did some gigs, or maybe even put out a song or two as a reformulated AIC. The troubles in 94 certainly were a sign that the band, or at least Staley, was becoming unglued.

Another man down.

Peace

i've been searching for this poster for over 7 years. i wish i would have seen one of those 20 dollar auctions. the only one's i remember were hammered. i originally bought one from a TAZ/Kuhn/Kozik show in Seattle. i have no idea what happened to it. i'm really glad i have one on the way. it was my #1 iso. this poster is pretty rare, the entire run was never printed.
