I personally like the way Slater drops his work. You get his email advising you of the poster and you scurry over to his site and hope you're lucky and there fast enough.
In contrast, I've lost several lunches/hours waiting to get an Emek or a Sperry, only to find that there's a glitch or that they've sold out seemingly instantaneously. I really wish these artists would do it some other way as it is really a hassle for their fans. I know the feeding-frenzy is a sign of adulation and an ego boost, but selling out in an hour or two, as Slater did here, is a solid sign you're kicking arse as well. And, with a Slater-like drop, no one leaves feeling abused, even if they don't score.
After Emek's drop last Friday I've resigned myself to the reality that God created flippers for a reason, and on those kind of releases I'll just pay the premium.

Nice, I went straight to the bay this morning and bought a red. Same procedure as with CEoTTK, just happy to see someone selling...caloudas wrote:I agree, I'd rather get a surpise email then spend all day clicking refresh.
Also, I was just able to score a "red"

got it today. Wow, awesome print!
Just opened mine. Didn't realize it had metallics (gold). Great print.
Agreed, the tube was a strange one.
