Congrats to JC on this -it really drew a lot of well-deserved attention at the show. It's a beautiful image.

hey nadaclue ... i think you did well ... check out the sales history for some of the more popular prints of late ... while its possible that prices will stabilize and maybe drop a little, i think it is equally likely that after the drop on JC's site, these prints could soar in value ... no one on EB could possibly know what the future holds ... and if you are going to frame it and enjoy it, all that matters is that you are comfortable with what you paid ... so good on you

I think nadaclue got a very good price, could be a great price. I know my First I wouldn't let go for >$200 while my Yellow Sky for a lot more than that. I haven't framed the Yellow Sky yet but that is the plan. It's one of two choices so far for POTY.

It's as close to a painting from a silkscreen as I've ever seen. I've compared mine to try & pick up differences which I haven't yet found but still these leaves look like they were applied to the paper via brush. The thin lines on the water are supposed to be silkscreened but then that would have to be a stencil & yet it looks hand applied.

It's like I'm looking thro' a window back in time.

I suspect that it will be brutal. Maybe 50 prints total, lots of hype, and eBay prices soaring. Flippers will be salivating. I'm going to try to land an art print version without the words.

Love how a few people in this thread hyping the print and how much they want one already sold one, or are trying to.

Fixed :)
perhaps i'm confused ... i thought JC was expecting 20 to be returned by the gallery and another 29 or so (half of 58) to be sold from a new run of art prints sans title of book and author ... even though Walden sold out at G1988, i thought the situation was similar to that of Zarathustra, which also sold out at G1988, but some of the run of 100 were recently sold on Tong's website ... 20 + 29 meant 49 ... if i got this wrong, i apologize

Who? Who's hyping the print AND want one AND has already sold one OR is trying to sell one. Who? Take the negativity over to thegiant.

I don't know, maybe it is you since you seemed to take that comment so personally.
Really didn't think I was being overly negative.
