Okay, I've got to post just one more pic. This is my favorite detail that I've found so far (though I find with Tyler's prints that I keep finding new details months after getting them).

I don't know... the Star Wars prints had a larger demand base, but take into account that a bunch of these posters will be gobbled up by people who were at the screening, thought the poster was cool, bought one, but are otherwise uninterested in the poster collecting thing. So that'll subtract from the number of prints actually in circulation.RiotAct wrote:Hype? EvenGhotihead2001 wrote:ok, over/under the hype-demand of the star wars stouts....

And if you look at how in-demand the Inglorious Basterds print is, which had a run 150 less than this one, I think you'll see where this one is headed.
that's true, I'm not going to deny that the average price for one of these over the next 6 months is going to be higher than the avg. price of a SW series print since the drop (which has been about $200)cinematical wrote:I don't know... the Star Wars prints had a larger demand base, but take into account that a bunch of these posters will be gobbled up by people who were at the screening, thought the poster was cool, bought one, but are otherwise uninterested in the poster collecting thing. Yeah, and Star Wars was mitigated by the fact that there were JUST SO MANY PRINTS (which I still failed to get ahold of).
Best person(s) placed to evaluate demand of a poster is probably the guy(s) who decide how many prints will be in the run. There's a reason why FP was under 300, Kill Bill is 600 and Star Wars was over 800. The demand lies within the run imo. If that was the question asked..

Agreed, which is why I think they bumped it from 450 (Inglorious Basterds) to 600 -- to accomodate the atrophy in supply from non-poster collectors in the theater.tranito wrote:Best person(s) placed to evaluate demand of a poster is probably the guy(s) who decide how many prints will be in the run. Although Basterds was released almost 2 years ago. Mondo has come a long way in the past 2 years. That alone justifies at least an increase of 100. I tried to compare 3 Stouts released in the shortest time period to make it fair.

True. Huh, it seems like Inglorious Basterds was closer. Crazy how far Mondo has come.

Eh, I seem to remember there being a REALLY big hubbub when Tyler went to drop his set of IB prints. I think that was the print that Tyler officially went Big-time.
