clem99 wrote:where is the international shipping cost for the framed print, what type of glass is used, there should maybe be the option to sell the bigger print unframed to international collectors, what was the breakdown on the print / framing cost to come up with $520 as the retail price, to me it doesnt appear to differ greatly with enrapture

Enrapture was like $400 unframed, no? Now bring it to your framer and asked him to replicate Audrey's framing.. the bill? $250+. Not sure how this is overpriced at $520 when people are dropping enthusiastly $400 for an unframed Enrapture.. That frame job is easily worth the difference in price.

we use UV acrylic on all our frames for weight and safety while shipping. for this one int'l shipping is the same as domestic. due to the size of the frame it costs us double what it costs to go to canada to get it to east coast US and europe is costing us roughly the same as middle america.

2c: ok with a timed release there is little excuse for the fan base to get a print, but what happens when you produce multiple editions of the same image is put out a tease to the collector, as i would expect most would prefer the framed edition, the appeal being the dimensions, personally i think there overpriced by virtue if one was to simply double the cost of the unframed edition that puts them at $200 leaving $320 to frame, which 150 will be, i doubt it will cost $320 to frame each print since one should also see a major discount on framing that many at once
art is the only justification for pain

Still half priced compared to Enrapture at $400.

there are only 100 enraptures.
when you count both editions, there will be about 2000 charlottes.

You can't really compare this, value wise, to Enrapture. The framed version is a 50% higher run size; but more importantly, the same image will be out there (albeit is slightly smaller size) in a run that will almost definitely be in the four digits.
edit: jojo just said more succinctly than I did.

The time limit is a bonus. Why would they price down the limited full size framed edition the only time of the year they offer that opportunity? It's the same deal as always, but this time if you miss, you won't come up empty handed.. or feel free to pass from the start and help me out on the framed drop. I'll be somewhere in the woods and I'd hang up that fudge the second I'd unpacked it.

100 bucks for the unframed is a no brainer for me. You guys go a battle it out for the framed ones.

i wasnt comparing to enrapture, my thoughts are that if the smaller charlotte is $100 then a larger charlotte should only cost $200 unframed, making the value of the framing at $320, seems like an expensive frame job to me

not sure where you're getting your numbers. based on past sales a 23x23 edition of 150 it would be at least $300.

size is only only one factor. i imagine it is based more on the run size ala the two sisters print - unframed timed $100 vs framed limited oversized $580, 3 years ago.
