The guy who is the source for the images collaged on the postcard is the "curator" of the Cure of Souls Blotter Art show, Mark McCloud. Mark maintains a web site at http://blotterbarn.com. The "artists" of the blotter paper are rarely the people who put the images on the blotter paper. As years went on, more scrupulous blotter peddlers began to commission art from known artists (like Alex Grey out of New York and The Pizz out of Los Angeles) for prints such as Purple Jesus and The Mad Hatter, but many working in the underground avoided doing so because having an artist contribute art for a blotter sheet was often considered involvement in a conspiracy. In Mark's case, he faced two federal indictments for his blotter art collection but was acquitted both times. At the second trial, the federal prosecutors tried to link him to a massive conspiracy under The Kingpin Act and accuse him of being guilty of every hit that was distributed with artwork he'd produced. The prosecution was unable to convince a jury that the artist who produced the paper was responsible for the behavior of the chemist who dipped it. In the end, Mark was found Not Guilty.
