10 years from now, people are going to remember it as a good PJ poster, not a PJ poster created from an art print. And I don't think it's really that unusual for artists to use art they created previously for gig prints. If you like the art print, I don't know why you wouldn't like this PJ print.Codeblue wrote:I'm kind of surprised how popular this looks like it is going to be. All Emek did was take an old art print and add new text. I call that working smart, not hard!

I'm assuming he's a Japanese artist of some sort. Looks like Mt. Fuji in the background (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, and I usually am...)pjtaper wrote: Who is Kozyndan? Run!

I figured that those photos were atleast Emeks own work and he was just reusing it....... So when Emek uses someone elses work, people bow down to it and say Emek is "the thinking man's poster artist" and Emek is "Superman".pi3rce42 wrote:I'm assuming he's a Japanese artist of some sort. It's called "appropriation," artists from nearly every generation in existence have done it.
Here is wikipedia's take on it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appropriation_%28art%29
