The movie got a crappy review in the local paper this morning... Even though the reviewer noted that everything that came out of Brad Pitt's mouth was funny. (I know that's a fastball right down the middle for someone to smack...)

I'd still like to see it though...

Why would you think this?

I've heard nothing but good about this movie. Also, 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

saw this tonight, not knowing much bout it, not caring much about it, not a fan of his other movies. i actually went cause i got tickets to a 16min avatar sneak preview (looks amazing).

this movie was drymounting awesome.

brad pitt is slight amusing, but by the end of the movie you're laughing your ass of at the SS detective, not sure of his name but drymount was he hilarious.

Brad Pitt never manages to steal the show from any of his movies. He's better as a secondary character.

The soundtrack was great as well, as is typical with Tarantino movies. Love that Bowie song.

Have you not seen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, def the best movie of 2007 (yes better than There Will Be Blood, though it is close). And Brad's best performance yet.

He was also great in Ben Button... plus he certainly stole the show in Fight Club.

Assassination of Jesse James - I would argue that Casey Affleck was the most compelling actor in that film.
Benjamin Button - I found myself more drawn to Cate Blanchett.
Fight Club - both he and Edward Norton did a great job in that film.

Just my opinion. It's almost the same as how I feel about Tom Cruise's acting. There is always something missing for me in their performances. Perhaps both of them tend to stick within some kind of bubble where they are acting more like themselves than really getting into a role and stealing the show. Or maybe their personal lives (how much they are featured in the news) comes into play for me. I'm not entirely sure.

Pitt could've improved in this Tarantino film for all I know.

Actually, he was very good in Burn After Reading.
