I thought there were 2 foil versions; one with the silver background eyes and one without.
ISO mccarthy ''the white tree' #6 and #10 canvases, or Clonal Colony aurora variant
the only 2 foils sold to the public were the FOIL #1 x/7 if I recall correctly...

More pics added of the foil #1 edition out of 7. You can see even though the silver plate is missing in this version that the eye pattern still shows on certain angles.. hard to capture, but in the flesh, you definitly see it's there and that there was another layer of ink involved beside the silver one that was removed.. It just depends on the angle you're looking at it. I've said it before, the full eye pattern design is a huge part of this print and it is sensational. Therefore, yes, you kind of feel it's missing in the foil #1. However the foil has something else to offer. I wouldn't say one version IS the one to get over the other. I feel the regular one is a MUST cause it's affordable and still easy to get from the artist and I feel the foil #1 is different enough and crazy looking enough to be a piece of envy and desire, kind of an «holy grail», but there are so few of these, it would be hard to also make it a must have recommendation.. I'd say the one to have is the foil #2. None were sold to the public. Only 3 were made. Subtle Foil effect under the full eye pattern design. Includes the silver screen... Best of both worlds??
