Moderators....

my recent $300 sale of the Dayal was for Obama charity...I don't know if that should be figured into the average or not. 100% of the proceeds went to the Obama election fund.

I'm amazed at how undervalued this one is. The best of the bunch IMO

Maybe the others are just overvalued and this is priced right.

considering how "Yes We Can" was used in his speech tonight, the tides might turn on this one...

I agree because the "yes we can" phrase was a significant aspect of his acceptance speech yesterday.

Was just looking for good discussion abt this print, which I am fond of...I like that they really mixed it up - from Fairey to Hansen, Dayal, Lou, typography, Nike designer - Borchert, Rob Indiana(!) - Great mix. Great stuff all around by artists and teh campaign. Inspiring to see!

But what I wanted to comment abt was this argument of the value of these posters. Heres the way I looks at it: For the editions of 5000 - Thats 1 print per ~ 60,000 U.S. citizens alone...not to mention the rest of the world (who are watching and wanting to buy but could not via obama.com.) And, we all can agree that this election is MONUMENTAL in MANY WAYS we dont even realize yet. So, yeah, there's some value in these items that were made for and helped electing President Elc Barack Obama.

Then theres the 1000 editions and there's Robert Indiana who managed to step away from LOVE into HOPE after 50 years for Obama with 150 signed prints. Lets not forget the best part - These brought in the artists like never before, produced some magnificent social work, and got one heck of a president out of it all. Enjoy it, its value goes beyond all the green.

so true. for the most part, the artwork for the campaign (the Artists for Obama series as well as his website) has been amazing.
