while interested in peace bomber, i gave up early last week and also avoided reading to much on the GIANT thread we got going here on ebeans. if i understand last week's problem correctly, doesn't obey's new sale strategy reward us members of this board, perhaps unfairly so? with this website and the tenacity of the people on these boards, i'm guessing there is someone checking obey's site every few minutes and once something is up, isn't word of it gonna be up on this board within seconds? all of the people who troll these boards (myself included) will likely be the first to buy everything up. while i might benefit from this (who knows, i could be wrong), doesn't this seem like a potentially worse solution than the problem which he faced last week. joe schmo looking for a poster likely even has a worse chance of getting one. perhaps i totally misunderstood the situation, but this seems like it is making the chances of getting a print for the common folk even less likely. i think a better solution is out there. perhaps a lottery like emek? at the least a better server that can support the deluge of interest? perhaps a queue that works like a waiver wire in sports - the top 350 on a list get access to the 350 prints available... if you buy a print and resubmit your interest in future prints, you move to the back of the list. if you pass on a print, you move up as those ahead of you get bumped to the back. thoughts?
