There was a scene with an octopus that got cut from the movie, but is on the deleted scenes. I'd skip the annoying intro on this vid, but here it is.Kdh12 wrote:that is not a squid, obviously an octopusSPAC04 wrote:love that squid
which is confusing since there is neither an octopus or squid in the movie maybe I'm missing something

A great return to form by Stout. And the movie definitely still holds up IMHO. Always brings back good memories for me of watching it countless times as a kid.
It is definitely an octopus on the poster and the scene was deleted form the original movie. It's a deleted scene on the DVD or BluRay. The octopus is referenced by Data at the end of the movie - but was never in it.

Print is killer.
Also, I'm going to guess that the octopus is on the variant only. With the scene being deleted, it's perfect for the ol' Stout reg-var switcheroo.

Since I'm new what other reg / variant differences has Stout made on other prints?KSUvet wrote:Nailed it.listerfeend wrote:Superfro33 wrote:I just watched the film and I want to watch the film again. I always want to watch this film.

Also I was wondering about the process to get in to the screening where they gave these away? Were there only 300 seats? And if so was getting a ticket basically like a print drop in and of itself? Many had speculated that Stout would be doing the print, so I'm sure it wasn't easy to get those tickets. Just wondering how that was handled, I'm thinking of going next year.
It's THE great kid's movie that features kids behaving and talking like kids. For that realistic portrayal, matched only, to my mind, by The Sandlot, and E.T. it should be considered the quintessential kid's movie about kids.listerfeend wrote:It's a kids movie.xangelx wrote:Yes. How Chris Columbus forgot all about that and gave us the C.S. Lewis/drama school poncery found in his HP films is beyond me.
Is the reg image out?
