Right? I'm no art connoisseur, but that is some terrible art. I feel bad for the guys that had to stick with it cause they already committed. This whole commission thing is a gamble. I'm in a few commissions myself that are only halfway through and I already know I'm gonna let them go cause they're not what I originally expected. Part of the game we play.PrintNoob87 wrote:How can anyone look at this without laughing?

I think the best thing would be to pray these get lost in the mail or lost in customs. You should contact Roman and see if he can provide any advise.

Some commissioners seem to put blinders on when they get into these projects, because there are some people involved that do think this is good. While that is just an opinion, if you think this is good you are simply wrong.

And this is why artists should NEVER be added to commission groups. These are business transactions, not a bunch of buddies hanging out. Group members need to be able to voice their opinions.FinalKickstand wrote:No one has really voiced displeasure in awhile, myself included. Once the artist was added to the group it got weird. Attacks started early but were put to an end quickly and after that it felt like coddling. Def awkward but I'm in so many good ones I chalked it up to an expected poor one awhile ago and moved on, personally.
This was the first commission that I was part of. I'm not gonna be hanging this up on my wall or anything that's for sure, but by this point the art has taken so long (it'll be drawing close to a year soon) to be finished that I don't really feel the sting wallet wise anymore and I'm pretty much apathetic.
Some of Johan's art is killer, but I think the colour choices, the overall muddiness and the odd imperfections on the likenesses just conspired to make this turn out fairly unappealing visually.

After seeing his facebook its clear hes a talented artist, this just doenst seem to be his area of expertise.
Switch out the characters with those of the Wizard of Oz and change a few colors and I think you would have a serviceable Wiz print. I think I already see Dorothy and Toto on what would be the Yellow Brick Road on the left. Tree Beard could stay as is as one of those apple throwing trees from the Wiz.
