Sweet all around. Glad to hear.geebee wrote:They are ok! They were in the center of the tube and the crush ended just before the prints! Matching set numbers to my 2010 set.

Good to hear. It is a good thing they used a box in a box because those tubes were average at best.geebee wrote:They are ok! They were in the center of the tube and the crush ended just before the prints! Matching set numbers to my 2010 set.

For those or you that have already gotten your sets, is this one a white or cream paper/background? It looks white from the pictures, but I'm trying to think out frame color.

Wait?! You're actually going to frame these prints?! J/K!MJGallicchio wrote:For those or you that have already gotten your sets, is this one a white or cream paper/background? It looks white from the pictures, but I'm trying to think out frame color.
I think it's more of an off white or cream type than white.
Edit: Here's a quick pic of the print lying on white foam core. Not the greatest image but you can see it's not perfect white. More like vanilla I think.

I'm not really framing these. I just have to try and keep up public appearances to throw people off my track.
But seriously, I was hoping to do white frames. It looks like the color may be close enough. Thanks.
I was wondering why folks kept asking about matching numbers for sets...why wouldn't they? They are obviously psyched to get another Shep set. They are going to treat it properly.bubbie wrote:Rough stuff. Hope it works out!
As for the matching numbers, I was specifically told by the PCP that all sets are matching numbers.
Not sure rolling in or out has any effect on the ink. What are you, some kind of inkology doctor?dropdoctor wrote:dutchflowers wrote:Mine arrived yesterday. No postal damage but the prints were rolled ink side out. Anyone else have that happen?
It's actually better for screenprints to be rolled image out. Ink stretching vs. ink crushing

I've heard this too and had prints shipped like this a lot. But clearly it's not the industry standard, but I'd be weary of a seller who didn't roll a giclee ink out. I've heard the stretch vs compress stuff before and would tend to agree in theory. I'd ship things like that if not for fear that newbs would freak on me.

My set arrived yesterday and I'm happy to say they matched the number from my earlier set. The photos posted online make the paper stock look bright white. The paper stock is an off white and it comes pretty close to matching the older set, but it's not a perfect match. The inks colors are identical to the old set. I'm cooking wheat paste now to get the new set floated.
