not a misspelling, it can go either way.cjethomas wrote:Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but the title is misspelled on the poster. I showed this to a friend who immediately said, "Is that for the remake? Chain Saw were separate words in the original."
I thought maybe it was for the remake, but I just zoomed in on the text at the bottom and, nope, it's for the original movie.

There are other posters that get the spelling wrong too, but the name of the movie on which this poster is based is "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre." That's per the film's opening credits, every official home video release ever, and the U.S. Copyright Office.kannibaliztik wrote:not a misspelling, it can go either way.

If you look at the bottom of the original one sheet, you will see this (Chain Saw divided into two words):

Hey everyone, just want to clear up this little debacle. It can go either way, the studio we licensed this from is in direct talks with Tobe Hooper, and it can go either way. Hope that clears things up for you guys

detail is superb. the colors are so thick it can definitely be noticed through the back of the paper.
