Here are a couple detail pictures I figured I'd share of the variant. Really a beautiful print.

Regarding Gandalf, I see it as potentially the moment he's turning his head thinking he's defeated the Balrog, he's about to turn and walk just before the whip ensnares his leg, so we're seeing his hair as it comes around.

just checked... There is no moment like the one pictured here (he stops using his staff before the Balrog falls, etc)... which is fine because obviously artistic license, etc. and Horkey did a beautiful job setting up a great moment.

Just got my reg in and it is beautiful! Hoping that it will flatten so I can snap some pics before I fly out tomorrow. Still pinching myself that I have a complete set which wouldn't be possible without some help of some great EBers. Big shout out to DylansDad for PBing for me and being cool as drymount about it. Real solid dude!

I finally saw the reg last night and the seal at the bottom looks 3D. It's really amazing what Ben pulled off with the custom metallics and printing process.

Got my set today, while I think the variant is beautiful, reg wins for me. Clearer to see what is going on and more impressive on the wall.

I picked up my regular version at the gallery on Friday night. The print is beautiful & gnarly all at the same time.

Here are some photos. Click on 'em if you want to see a larger version. Enjoy:
