Cel makes valid points. But most auctions don't say specifically "includes the COA". Most just talk about the print. It just seems wrong and shady as fudge to try to claim the sale did not include the COA. And I don't buy the "you should have bought it at the time" argument because some people didn't know about the sale, and some just didn't have the cash free at the time. Not everyone has surplus cash flow to afford a 100 dollar print at any given moment.

great question..jpfondu wrote:Is this actually happening to anyone that previously bought black lake?
If not, this is pointless.
Even though I don't agree with it, the COA is not in the auction listing...You may get held ransom for it, that depends on the seller..
That's the after market for ya!

This is the dumbest drymounting argument ever. It is a CERTIFICATE OF AUNTHENTICITY for the print therefor goes with said print. If it was just a bonus mini print then ya you might have an argument to keep it. I'm not saying some sellers might not be shitty and try to keep it but to say they don't have to bc it wasn't in the listing is ridiculous.

The difference between a CoA + print and a print without a CoA is $150.
Auctions clearly advertising a CoA:
321620179020
121506815670
No CoA to be included with the print (to be sold separately in a future date):
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... ld=1&rt=nc
That is the difference between listings. Anyone that bought one of the sold ones only bought the black late letterpress. The sellers to those are not obligated to provide anything other than that.

So wait, the print is worth $300 now that it has a COA but only $150 without? So the COA is worth $150 then!Celsius wrote:Entitled much?dasponyboy wrote:This is the dumbest drymounting argument ever.
