I actually thought it might be possible because the last one to sell on artnet in April of 2013 fetched $3,220.00 and this latest eBay sale was coming off all the recent hoopla.

I'm not saying the print can't legitimately fetch a price like this, but there's nothing legit about this particular auction.

Fwiw, I was in talks with the seller before it was sent to eBay.
I told her I would buy at listed price but she declined and posted auction.
Around auctions ending, I received an email about the high bidder being international and she would rather sell to me, but had an offer of $2600 and would I like to make an offer. I declined.
