Looks like you can pre order the Heavy Metal Magazine with Aarron and Mike's cover here: http://www.1upcollectibles.com/Heavy-Me ... 65166.html

nice. Any local comic shop should be able to pre-order it for you as well. So that when it ships via the direct market (which is typically before the bookstore market), you can get it from their shop (i.e. save on shipping). With the discount off of cover this site has though, it may end up being about the same... :pint:

Can anyone refresh my mind, what's in the magazine (or is the cover unrelated?)?

Heavy metal recently underwent a change in ownership, so I'm not 100 percent sure. It's edited by Grant Morrison now, so I'd expect a good amount of comic content.

I finally landed one of these. My initial impression was that the helmet part seems a little fuzzy. I think the Horkey part was painted (the OG), so maybe it's an artifact of however that was transferred to digital in comparison to the purely digital Mitchell part. Maybe it's just me. Thoughts?

That's what I thought the first time I looked at. Probably one of the reasons I have never liked it.

I don't have any Horkey prints but I always liked his numbering and it looks like you have 2 there. Can you post a picture of the other number?

Also to an earlier post KVU, what did you mean by the head looking fuzzy? Does it look like a registry issue or does it just not look sharp. It's hard for me to see any issues with the Jpeg's but I know it's night & day when you actually have the print in hand.
Common sense, is not that common

I agree it does look a little fuzzy, kind of like when you take a small image, and blow it up larger than it was intended to be. I’m guessing the merger of a digital drawing with a real drawing didnt mesh so well as they were created in different resolutions, so to speak.
