After we can settle on a bidder to take the project, figuring the funding will likely be the next step...

Mods,
Can someone add a "dummy" comment to each post that currently has no posts?
It seems that the only way anyone can add a comment to any topic is if the topic already has a comment posted.
Thanks!

I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

Or ya could just PM a mod and ask em to start the thread for ya.

I'm talking about lots of threads that already exist that currently have no comments. I can't add a first comment to any thread that has no comments.
Any thread that already has at least 1 comment is a thread that I can add a comment (or reply) to.

You're old so I'll excuse your confusion. For any existing art listing, you can PM a mod and ask them to start an Art Comments thread for said art listing. Then you will be able to leave comments.

I've just been informed by a mod that this is a bug. I knew I was always able to add a first comment in the past.

Yeah, I'm old. And it bothers me when things I've always done in 5 seconds require me now to PM a mod and then dah dah dah.... That sucks. When I want to make a comment, I want to make a comment at that time. I don't think I'm in the minority on this.

By the way, I'm thrilled that Codeblue is excusing my confusion (even though I wasn't confused)... I don't know if I'd have made it through the day without that comforting news.

Timeline hasn't been set yet - still collecting/evaluating bid options at this point.

As far as adding posts... I know it's annoying, Rick and it is a bug in the system. While doing a bit here and there is an option, as a team we're not really focusing on making sure that all topics have a dummy post in them. Pains me to say it, but I think codeblue has the right idea :P

Already have an open invite from theperfecttree to do that when I see a thread with no posts that I want to add a comment to.
